The Carnatic Trinity
Born between 1763 and 1775, Syama Sastri, Thyagaraja Swami, and Muthuswami Deekshitar transformed the landscape of Carnatic music with their varied compositions like Varnam, Kriti, Padam, Swarajati, Tillana, and Javali—each a vivid portrayal of musical virtuosity and spiritual depth. Their legacy continues to shape Carnatic recitals today.
